Planning
If you have not selected a designer or architect, we recommend that you start with a design contract. This streamlines the construction process and ensures that you get the work done exactly the way you picture it in your mind! We will create working drawings, permit documents, and 3d models and renderings of your project upon request.

Preliminary
Estimating
Next we will take your design and get to the brass tacks of how to bring it to life. This phase involves coordinating with you on specific selections, such as: tile options, faucets, lighting, appliances, hardware, or specialty lumber. These selections can dramatically affect the overall cost of the project, and we want our estimate to be as accurate as possible. You may choose your own visual designer, or you can work with our design coordinator to make your final selections. She will create a pinterest board for you and take your preferences and create mood boards for the specific spaces involved in the remodel. From here we can narrow down the selections that fit your budget and aesthetic.
Preliminary
Scheduling
Once we have the design, and budget, and selections now it is time to schedule the work! We will take a deposit at this point, and order the materials that will have longer lead times like custom windows and doors. By the time we start your project, we will have everything we need lined up and ready to complete the work quickly and efficiently! You will see your home transform right before your eyes.
Please contact us for a walkthrough, we will be happy to help you plan how to accomplish your goals and if we cannot help with your specific project, we will do our best to refer you to another professional who can.
How We Work
Phase 1
DEMOLITION
You will have a project manager and foreman assigned to your project. When we arrive to start work on your project we will bring a dump trailer for debris and possibly and tool trailer for our workers to stage their equipment.
We will need to discuss parking and workflow ahead of time. We will protect your floors and furniture, and build dust shields where necessary.
As soon as the demolition phase is complete, we will have a meeting about what we find, and if there is additional work necessary beyond the scope agreed upon in the proposal.
Phase 2
FRAMING & MECHANICALS
In this phase we will address the rough framing, insulation, electrical, plumbing, and foundation work needed for your project. We guarantee our work, and ensure that our subcontractors are licensed and carry both liability and workers compensation insurance.
You can learn more about that here:
Once we are sure that all things have been completely buttoned up, that we have blocking installed for towel bars and accessories, that the outlets are at the correct heights, that the ambient lighting is in place, and we have completed our framing and mechanical inspections then we move forward to Phase 3.
Phase 3
CUSTOM FINISHING
This is where Max Craft really shines. We offer old world craftsman quality work built right into your home. Everything is done by hand and with the highest quality standards. Hardwood wainscotting, coffered ceilings, custom stair details, custom concrete, tile, and stonework.
This kind of work adds value to your home and will last many lifetimes. It doesn’t have to be tremendously expensive, even a few custom details in a home can really make it shine. It is the quality of installation that matters.
A few sheets of plywood and a butcher block countertop can be installed in a way that is beautiful and durable. We use the highest quality finishes; post catalytic varnishes applied quality spray equipment that will hold up to years of heavy use, regular cleaning and polishing while still holding its depth and luster.
